Southern Institute of Science and Technology and Singsun jointly discuss the research and innovation development of automation equipment

Since its establishment in 2012, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has achieved rapid development in a short period of time and made abundant research results in the fields of basic and applied research. It has built R&D platforms closely integrated with industry, such as Quantum Science and Engineering Research Institute, Robotics Research Institute and Shenzhen Third Generation Semiconductor Research Institute, with rich innovation resources and outstanding practical experience in technology transfer. The Southern Institute of Industrial Technology (SIST), jointly built by SUSTech and Baoan District People's Government, focuses on strategic emerging industry clusters and future industries, and is a cooperation platform of "government-industry-investment-use" deeply integrated technology innovation system.

On July 8, President Zhang of Southern Industrial Technology Research Institute visited Singsun and was personally received by General Manager Ouyang, the founder of Xingxun, and held a cooperation and exchange meeting between the two sides, where the two sides had a preliminary discussion on the topics of "introduction of high-level talents, exchange of scientific research results of intelligent equipment and co-construction of R&D platform".

During the meeting, General Manager Ouyang, the founder of Singsun, said that Singsun, is looking forward to cooperating with the Research Institute of Southern University of Science and Technology to introduce more high quality and highly educated talents, as a national high-tech enterprise, the company pays great attention to the construction and training of the R&D team, and the annual R&D expenditure keeps a budget growth rate of 30%. ITRI organizes more school-enterprise exchange and cooperation activities.

President Zhang expressed his deep agreement and believed that academic research results also need to be closely combined with common needs of enterprises in order to create higher value and achieve real innovation and creativity, and the Southern Industrial Research Institute, as a communication link between enterprises and universities, can just break the barrier between academic and market demand and promote the two-way development of university research and enterprises.

The exchange activity was very smooth, and General Manager Ouyang introduced the founding history and product planning of Singsun to President Zhang of ITRI, which gave ITRI a deeper understanding of Xingxun. Finally, both sides reached a consensus on "school-enterprise cooperation, co-creation" and "talent demand docking", and look forward to further cooperation to promote academic application and enterprise technology innovation development.
